We began our little Slaugh family chapter on May 1, 2010, in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple about 2 and half years ago! Sam stays busy working for Ralcorp Frozen Foods (better known as the people who make cookies for Lofthouse), creating all sorts of fun new recipes to go out for production. Samantha also stays pretty busy, working over in the laboratory blood bank at St. Mark's Hospital. Jayson is 1 and a half years old and growing up so quickly--he never ceases to amaze us! Maxwell is just one week old, but has already brought a fun new dynamic to our house. We love music, making new friends (that means YOU!), eating good food, being with our super awesome families, and each other :]

Juji Bean

I didn't think I'd ever be the kind of mom who talks about her kid so much that people wonder if I can think about anything else......but I'm discovering that I probably am! Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let me say that I am so proud of my baby boy! All of a sudden he has really come alive and has a personality of sorts--it's the cutest thing ever to watch him play with his toys (and us) and coo to them :]

At two months old he weighs 11.6 pounds (49th percentile), is 21 1/8 inches long (88th percentile), and has a head measurement in the 27th percentile. Weird proportions, but he is awfully cute (as evidenced here)!

He got his first round of immunizations, and according to Sam he let out a new kind of cry altogether.....sadly I wasn't there because I had lab class. Apparently the nurse who gave Jayson the vaccinations said that he had never seen a 2 month old so alert and strong enough to resist him--keep in mind this particular pediatrician office sees SO MANY kids (as proof Sam had to wait an extra hour past the scheduled appointment time we had) so that kinda meant something to me. Today Jayson proved his strength again.....

And now you know why I am so impressed with little guy. Oh--and about a minute after Sam turned off the camera, Jayson decided he had had enough, and rolled from back to tummy for the first time ever. What a kid :]
